THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER 70th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
MAY 6th, HANCOCK PARK, DAHLONEGA, 6PM ~ 7PM
As proclaimed by each President for the past 70 years, The National Day of Prayer will occur on the first Thursday in May across the USA! Don’t miss this event where local dignitaries will speak and pray about the centers of influence in our lives. Our speakers include Mayor Sam Norton; Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Rob Brown; Lumpkin County Sheriff Stacy Jarrard; the Pastor of Dahlonega United Methodist Church, Dr. Steve Schofield; and UNG Senior Vice President for Leadership and Global Engagement, Colonel Billy Wells. We will continue the celebration praising God through music as we are entertained by “Auld Lang Syne”, an old time Gospel Group made up of teachers and supporters of Pick and Bow. This year’s theme is “LORD, POUR OUT YOUR LOVE, LIFE, AND LIBERTY”. This country needs prayer and this is your opportunity to help. An evening of Prayer and Patriotism!! This program is free and open to the public.
